All species on Azwarg RP have statistics that may impact the pet during special events. While users do not have to keep track of a pet's statistics, doing so is recommended because statistics will be required to participate in things like plots or in-character contests. There may or may not be a battle system in the future, but for now, these statistics will serve some minor purposes. Please note that staff members aren't responsible for keeping track of pet stats- you, the owner, are!
Level: All pets start at level 1. Levels can be raised by making roleplay posts with that pet. A post is counted as roleplay post if the pet does something in that post, like "Max sat down." Every 5 roleplay posts adds 1 level to your pet! Pets can reach a maximum level of 50.
* Level Up Bonuses: When a pet levels up, it gets an addition to its stats depending on where it levels up. All areas in the Roleplay Areas board will have, in the area description, a bolded phrase that says something like +1 Strength upon level up. If a pet levels up in Akrinora, for instance, it adds 2 Intelligence and 1 Charisma to its stats per level up. The pet does NOT add anything to any of its other stats. If a pet levels up by making a roleplay post in an area that doesn't specify bonuses, such as the Tellikete Markets or Breedings, you may add either 3 HP, 3 MP, or 1 Strength/Vitality/Intelligence/Spirit/Agility/Charisma/Luck to that pet per level up.
** Level ups do NOT occur every 5 posts in one area or roleplay. They DO occur every 5 total posts the pet makes. For example, if Dave has 4 total posts from roleplaying in Akrinora but makes a 5th post in Crymsala, he gets the bonuses from Crymsala, not Akrinora. Furthermore, if Dave makes 5 posts in Akrinora but has 13 total posts, he does not level up.
* The following statistics vary depending on your pet's species. Please find your pet's starting values for each of these in the Pet Statistics board! Stat bonuses are added to your species's starting stats. If your pet is a custom Azwarg, you may use any Azwarg species's base stats as your custom's starting stats.
Fate: A fancy term for your pet's Element. Fates include no Fate, Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Dark, and Light. Custom pets may be assigned up to 2 Fates.
HP: Short for hit points, this is how much damage your pet can take before getting knocked out at zero HP. HP can be recovered with certain abilities or items. Pets can reach a maximum of 100 HP.
MP: Short for magic points, this is how much energy your pet has to use magic abilities. If your MP is not sufficient enough to use an ability, your pet can no longer use that ability unless it replenishes its MP with an ability or item. Pets can reach a maximum of 100 MP.
Strength: A pet's physical strength. This is subtracted from an opponent's Vitality to get the total damage done to that opponent for one physical attack. Pets can reach a maximum of 100 Strength.
Vitality: A pet's physical defense. Higher vitality means taking less damage from physical attacks. Pets can reach a maximum of 100 Vitality.
Intelligence: A pet's IQ. This is subtracted from an opponent's Spirit to get the total damage done to that opponent for one magic attack. Pets can reach a maximum of 100 Intelligence.
Spirit: A pet's willpower. Higher Spirit means taking less damage from magic attacks. Pets can reach a maximum of 100 Spirit.
Agility: A pet's speed. It determines how early a pet moves and how good a pet is at dodging. Pets with higher Agility move first, and an opponent's hit rate is (100 - your pet's Agility + opponent's inherent hit rate)/100. Pets can reach a maximum of 50 Agility.
Charisma: A pet's appeal level to others. May determine various things. Pets can reach a maximum of 50 Charisma.
Luck: How lucky a pet is. May determine various things. Pets can reach a maximum of 50 Luck.
If you wish, you can "freeze" a pet at a certain level so they stay at that level with those stats. You don't have to tell anyone if you want to do this; it's up to you, but keep in mind that generally pets with higher stats will have advantages! Events may not accept pets with a stat above a certain amount, though, which is the main advantage of "freezing" stats.
